2nd grade class pic - Fort Hood, TX

See that guy up on the top right hand corner with his mouth wide open? He was my friend, Woodrow. We were both suppose to have our mouth wide open during this picture, but I decided at the last minute not to. Did I think to tell Woodrow? Nope.

Oh, and see that oriental girl, Sue, first row, on the right, second from the last?
She had this high pitch voice and talked through her nose. It was hard not to laugh when she read out loud during class. One day in class, during her reading circle (team of 8 or 10 kids) with Mrs Roach (while the rest of the class worked at their desk). Sue was reading out loud and "tooted". Everyone heard it, but the ones that weren't in the reading circle at the time, including Woodrow and me (our desk were across from each other) didn't know who "tooted", but the kids in the reading circle said it was Sue. She timidly admitted to it.
Anyways... while that was going on across the class room, Woodrow and I had our heads on our desk laughing so hard (we thought "quietly"), and within 5 nano seconds.... SLAP! SLAP! Mrs Roach had came from behind Woodrow and me and SLAPPED both our backs ... one two ... SLAP! SLAP! And, just stood there staring at the both of us. We never look up at her, just went back to working on the class assignment.
Boy, I tell ya, that slap stung, and I have never been stopped in the middle of a hard laugh like that again.
Ol' Mrs Roach ... SLAP! SLAP! The SLAPPER !
